My name is Mariah, I’m 11 years old and I will be telling you some things about me when I used to care about what other people thought about me.
When I used to walk around the school, I could hear some eighth and seven graders talking about how big my forehead was, and I never once stick up for myself and I was very upset at myself that I didn’t. Another time, I decided to wear my beautiful sketchers to school. Everyone else was wearing Nike and Jordan’s. A group of girls created a sneakers club, I thought it was a great idea, so I asked to join the club. They looked down at my sketchers and told me I can’t be part of their club because my sneakers are not cool.
I than told my mom and she really changed my mind about fittin in and that it didn’t matter what others thought of me. From that day on I realized that I don’t need to fit in because I was born to stand out. And to all those people who don’t like me for who I am, that’s their problem not mine. Because I AM ME.
